Who runs this site

New York Downsizing is a downsizing information resource. It is operated by licensed real estate professionals affiliated with eXp Realty. It is not a New York real estate brokerage, it does not represent buyers or sellers in New York and it does not list, show, negotiate or sell property.

How introductions work

When you ask to be matched, we pass the details you submit to an agent on our team at eXp Realty who is licensed in New York and works in the New York area. We work alongside those agents rather than handing you to a stranger. That agent and their brokerage are responsible for the real estate services they provide, and any agreement you sign is between you and them.

Because we introduce you to colleagues on our own team, this is not a search of every agent in the New York market. You are free to work with any agent you choose, and you are never obligated to work with the one we introduce.

How we are paid

The introduction costs you nothing. Our team is paid a commission in the ordinary way when a transaction closes, and commissions are negotiable between you and the agent you hire. Because the agent we introduce is a colleague on our own team rather than an independent pick, we have an interest in that introduction. We say so plainly so you can weigh it.
